About the Speaker
Scott D'Aquila is a Vice President in the Institutional Securities Technology Group at Morgan Stanley. His present role is R&D focused on the applicability of "emerging" database technology and techniques to enhance the firms existing offerings for front-to-back processing and enrichment, pre-settlement regulatory reporting and trade date-related report generation.
Prior to working closer to the business end, he worked in Unix Engineering as the data architect for [Aquilon](https://trac.lal.in2p3.fr/Quattor/wiki/Download/Aquilon), an open-sourced set of extensions and enhancements to [Quattor](http://quattor.org), CERN's configuration management system for the LHC compute infrastructure.
Preceding his move to Morgan Stanley in 2006 he was the Director of Infrastructure at [IAG Research](http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapId=778932), a data driven research organization [acquired by Nielsen in 2008](http://adage.com/article/media/nielsen-buy-iag-research-225-million/126216/), and has a BS in Computer Science from Columbia University ('98).
